Responsibilities
- Develop high-traffic web applications with PHP, Laravel, and Vue.js.
- Design and implement internal and external RESTful APIs and high-volume background jobs.
- Contribute to decisions spanning UI design, feature architecture, business-process improvements, and technology evaluation.
- Own features from the first commit through production operation, including health, performance, and maintainability.
- Deploy code multiple times daily through GitLab CI/CD to AWS Elastic Container Service.
- Monitor applications with Datadog dashboards and alerting.
- Present ideas in regular tech talks and collaborate in an English-speaking, agile team.
Requirements
- Excellent programming skills in PHP 8 and Laravel.
- Excellent programming skills in TypeScript and JavaScript, with experience using Vue 3.
- Experience designing and implementing end-to-end, integration, and unit tests.
- Background developing complex products with a strong user experience.
- Expertise in designing, securing, and scaling RESTful APIs.
- Experience with AWS, Git, Valkey, or comparable technologies.
- Practical experience with relational database design and performance optimization, such as MySQL 8.
- Commitment to well-structured, efficient, maintainable code and codebase quality.
- Willingness to work in an English-speaking environment.
- Experience with Inertia.js, SCSS, or Tailwind CSS is a bonus.
