Responsibilities
- Design and develop LLM-powered systems supporting data-warehouse migration and transformation.
- Build internal LLM tools and workflows for generating and translating data flows, schemas, and data-validation logic.
- Develop evaluation frameworks for LLM-generated results using execution-based checks, assertions, and diff-based validation.
- Build and operate production data pipelines and orchestration workflows.
- Optimize and troubleshoot large-scale data-processing systems in distributed environments.
- Apply agent-based approaches and tool-use patterns where appropriate, emphasizing reliable and controlled execution.
- Collaborate with data engineers and platform teams to modernize legacy data-warehouse systems.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience developing ML- or LLM-based products or internal tools, including mandatory experience deploying such systems in production.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning or statistics, including feature engineering, evaluation methods, and experimental design.
- Practical experience with data-warehouse or big-data systems such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Teradata, Oracle, Spark, or Kafka.
- Experience analyzing legacy sources such as COBOL, SAS, JCL, or DB2 with LLM assistance, and an interest in legacy code.
- Operational experience with data-pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster.
- Very strong SQL skills and experience with at least one additional data-processing framework such as Spark, Flink, or dbt.
- Good understanding of analytics-engineering principles and software-engineering best practices, including Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
- Familiarity with LLM workflows including prompt engineering, structured-output parsing, token and cost management, model selection, trade-off analysis, and robust evaluation strategies.
- Very good German and English skills.
