Responsibilities

  • Design and develop LLM-powered systems supporting data-warehouse migration and transformation.
  • Build internal LLM tools and workflows for generating and translating data flows, schemas, and data-validation logic.
  • Develop evaluation frameworks for LLM-generated results using execution-based checks, assertions, and diff-based validation.
  • Build and operate production data pipelines and orchestration workflows.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot large-scale data-processing systems in distributed environments.
  • Apply agent-based approaches and tool-use patterns where appropriate, emphasizing reliable and controlled execution.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and platform teams to modernize legacy data-warehouse systems.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience developing ML- or LLM-based products or internal tools, including mandatory experience deploying such systems in production.
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning or statistics, including feature engineering, evaluation methods, and experimental design.
  • Practical experience with data-warehouse or big-data systems such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Teradata, Oracle, Spark, or Kafka.
  • Experience analyzing legacy sources such as COBOL, SAS, JCL, or DB2 with LLM assistance, and an interest in legacy code.
  • Operational experience with data-pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster.
  • Very strong SQL skills and experience with at least one additional data-processing framework such as Spark, Flink, or dbt.
  • Good understanding of analytics-engineering principles and software-engineering best practices, including Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
  • Familiarity with LLM workflows including prompt engineering, structured-output parsing, token and cost management, model selection, trade-off analysis, and robust evaluation strategies.
  • Very good German and English skills.
