Responsibilities
- Build relationships with development, production, and design teams to identify bugs and improve overall quality.
- Test the game from a player’s perspective and identify opportunities to improve the player experience.
- Define and execute the team’s test strategy and champion product quality.
- Communicate testing progress and status through verbal and written updates.
- Use a player-first approach to represent quality for game players.
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent industry experience in an embedded environment, preferably in Quality Assurance.
- Experience with testing and defect-tracking software, preferably Jira.
- Experience writing test documentation such as test cases and test plans.
- Experience testing across different gaming platforms.
- Understanding of white-box, gray-box, and black-box testing practices.
- Knowledge of software development methodology and stages including milestones, sprints, Alpha, and Beta.
- Strong knowledge of American Football, preferably College Football, and/or strong knowledge of College Football 26.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence, Miro, or Slack is desirable.
- Experience working with off-site teams is desirable.
- Desire to use innovative testing methods such as automation and data is desirable.
