Base Salary
$155k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the infrastructure and deployment layer for AI applications shipped into enterprise customer environments.
- Design and execute VPC, on-premises, and self-hosted deployment patterns across enterprise security requirements.
- Work with customer IT and security teams on compliance, data residency, and access-control constraints.
- Build tooling and automation for repeatable and reliable customer deployments.
- Collaborate with Product and Applied AI engineers on the deployment team.
- Identify infrastructure and process gaps and lead initiatives to improve future deployments.
- Define the Handshake AI Enterprise platform playbook as the customer base and deployment complexity grow.
Requirements
- Strong backend and infrastructure engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience deploying applications into enterprise environments, including VPC, on-premises, and self-hosted configurations.
- Deep understanding of enterprise security requirements, including data segregation, access controls, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience working directly with external customers in a deployment or field engineering context.
- Strong operational focus on reliability, observability, and repeatability at scale.
- Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Experience at an infrastructure company offering self-hosted or on-premises deployments is a plus.
- Familiarity with authentication, secrets management, and zero-trust networking is a plus.
- Experience building internal deployment tooling or platform abstractions is a plus.
- Experience working alongside applied AI or ML systems in production is a plus.
