Base Salary
$170k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the pipelines and integrations that ingest, reconcile, and maintain first- and third-party data.
- Contribute to a reproducible, traceable, secure, and multi-tenant data orchestration layer for ETL pipelines and workflows.
- Build and improve observability and monitoring across infrastructure, applications, and data systems.
- Operate, evolve, and architect Abby Care’s AWS cloud environment while balancing reliability, security, cost, and developer velocity.
- Build and maintain scalable Terraform infrastructure with robust state management.
- Lead technical implementation of cloud security and HIPAA compliance requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Own build tooling and CI/CD workflows, improving build speed, test reliability, and release quality.
- Create AI-native systems for automated development, bug triage, validation, and pre-production verification across agents, workflows, and customer-like scenarios.
- Identify engineering bottlenecks and turn them into reusable abstractions and durable platform primitives.
- Establish ownership over core data and platform systems and act as a design partner for product and AI development.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of full-time experience in backend, platform, or product infrastructure engineering.
- Strong coding ability with deep expertise in Python; Python will be used exclusively for backend systems, platform tooling, and data orchestration.
- Deep expertise designing and operating production environments on AWS.
- Mastery of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience hardening cloud infrastructure and supporting security compliance initiatives.
- Healthcare or enterprise SaaS security and compliance experience is preferred.
- Active use of AI tools and an understanding of how they affect software development are expected.
- Strong developer-experience instincts and experience building tools, CI/CD pipelines, and shared architecture are expected.
