Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the cloud infrastructure platform using infrastructure as code practices.
- Build infrastructure with container orchestration technologies such as EKS and Kubernetes.
- Select managed cloud services that support platform engineering and software development goals.
- Design and build CI/CD tools, automation, and secure software deployment practices.
- Implement highly available, reliable, scalable, and performant cloud infrastructure components.
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions for proactive issue detection, troubleshooting, and analysis.
- Partner with security teams to meet industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, QA engineers, software development teams, and systems integration teams.
- Lead engineers in building and maintaining infrastructure, site reliability, and engineering productivity systems.
- Own the internal developer portal and Scout’s developer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 12+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps engineer, systems architect, or software engineer focused on platform systems.
- Proficiency building automation with Python, Shell, Ruby, or similar languages.
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization technologies.
- Expertise with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet configuration management tools.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab Pipelines, Harness.io, and ArgoCD.
- Expert knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Expert knowledge of Crossplane, Terraform, Pulumi, or CDK for infrastructure as code.
- Experience designing and developing software solutions for platform integrations, automation, and developer experiences using Rust, Go, Python, or Java.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, teaching, and coaching skills.

- Base salary range is $160,000–$192,500 annually; California base salary range is $176,000–$211,750 annually, with eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
