Base Salary
$152k - $288k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop custom software for scheduling GPU resources on Kubernetes.
- Build monitoring and health-management capabilities for GPU assets using hardware diagnostics, cluster telemetry, and network telemetry.
- Support reliable, consistent, and high-performance operation of large-scale production AI clusters.
- Evaluate system failures and improve services through an incident management process.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, principals, and architects across organizational boundaries and geographies.
- Manage and automate large-scale distributed systems independently of cloud providers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a similar software engineering role and experience with large-scale production systems.
- Direct software development experience with Kubernetes APIs and frameworks, beyond operating Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience applying common software engineering principles, tools, and techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a comparable degree, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in a systems programming language such as Go or Python, with a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Strong communication, execution, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced hands-on experience with cluster management systems such as Kubernetes, Slurm, or Bright Cluster Manager is preferred.
- Proven operational excellence maintaining reliable and performant AI infrastructure is preferred.
