Responsibilities
- Create product test plans and test cases from product requirements.
- Perform software validation and verification, including test execution and maintenance of test hardware.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug test software and product interactions.
- Develop test environments for devices under test.
- Document technical issues, solutions, defects, and reproduction steps for development teams.
- Collaborate with engineering groups, team leads, and product management to ensure software meets requirements.
- Report testing activities, project status, and plans to team leads and management.
- Suggest product fixes and improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent with a strong emphasis on software in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- At least 3 years of software testing experience.
- Familiarity with various testing techniques and experience writing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Experience with defect tracking systems and test case management.
- Experience testing REST-based APIs using Postman or similar tools.
- Experience with Git source control.
- Experience working in an Agile development life cycle.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft SQL Server and query authoring, TCP/IP networking, Wireshark, Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, and test automation.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
