Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and JavaScript.
- Build and optimize MongoDB data models, indexes, queries, and governance practices.
- Contribute to AWS architecture, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational excellence.
- Design and integrate interfaces across business platforms and maintain reliable data flows.
- Support large-scale data architectures involving caching, asynchronous processing, messaging, and observability.
- Participate in documentation, code reviews, testing practices, architecture evolution, and engineering standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of backend software development experience building and maintaining medium-to-large-scale services.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript, including service design, optimization, and refactoring.
- Solid experience with MongoDB data modeling, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud deployment, monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting.
- Experience designing high-availability, high-concurrency, and distributed systems and resolving complex production issues.
- Strong API design and system integration experience.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Professional working proficiency in English for communication with North American engineering teams.
- Preferred experience includes transaction-intensive platforms, large-scale data architectures, messaging, caching, task scheduling, event-driven architectures, observability, DevOps practices, CI/CD, containerization, automated deployment, and global collaboration.
