Responsibilities
- Drive high-quality system architecture and design.
- Create roadmaps and a vision for scalable, robust product growth.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to make the platform open and extensible.
- Align stakeholders and lead engineers on mission-critical projects.
- Decompose complex problems into straightforward solutions.
- Apply internal and industry design best practices.
- Investigate and resolve critical system issues.
- Influence the technical direction of Supply Chain projects across Rocket Growth and internal and external partners.
- Partner actively with Product to shape product strategy and priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in software design and development using Java and Python.
- Proven experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems in the Supply Chain domain.
- Experience with large-system architecture design and development.
- Experience with cloud computing using AWS.
- Experience developing container-based testing environments.
- Experience with the Java, IntelliJ, and Spring environment.
- Deep understanding of the Supply Chain domain is preferred.
- Deep expertise in the AWS ecosystem, including compute, storage, and distributed services, is preferred.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and influencing team architecture is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills are preferred.
