Base Salary
$115k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop GitLab CI pipeline configurations, templates, and components for applications written in multiple languages and frameworks.
- Build Python applications, scripts, and libraries for managing builds, deployments, and developer tools.
- Create Kubernetes configuration templates with YTT for consistent and customizable application deployments.
- Debug deployments on Kubernetes distributions including OpenShift and Anthos, using tools such as ArgoCD and Istio.
- Create and maintain documentation in README files and Confluence knowledge bases.
- Lead smaller projects that add capabilities to the DevEx platform.
- Build and maintain systems for project setup, CI, testing, deployment, publishing, secrets management, observability, and application communication.
Requirements
- Strong coding fluency in at least one programming language, including Python, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, Kotlin, Scala, Go, or Rust.
- Working knowledge of Linux systems and the command line.
- Familiarity with source control, CI/CD pipelines, package publishing, and containerization.
- Experience developing CLI applications is preferred.
- Experience building and deploying web APIs to cloud services or Kubernetes is preferred.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Nomad, OpenShift Container Platform, Anthos, GKE, AKS, or EKS is preferred.
- Familiarity with observability tools and stacks such as Prometheus, EFK, TIGK, Datadog, Sensu, Jaeger, Sentry, or OpsGenie is preferred.
- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
- Bonus experience includes high-availability applications, multitenant Kubernetes clusters, Istio or Linkerd, Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS Kinesis, Apache Spark, Airflow, HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, or Google Secret Manager.
