Responsibilities

  • Maintain the availability and performance of billing data export pipelines to BigQuery.
  • Build monitoring and alerting dashboards to identify consumption anomalies and verify incoming-data integrity.
  • Ensure billing data is isolated, encrypted, and audited according to trusted-cloud requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance the internal billing engine that transforms raw cloud-provider data into sovereign customer invoices.
  • Develop Python and Go automation for discounts, committed-use discounts, taxes, and support fees.
  • Design automated data-quality tests to identify duplicate records, missing SKUs, and billing discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of a public cloud platform, ideally Google Cloud Platform, and its billing system, including SKUs, pricing models, and credits.
  • Strong SQL skills, particularly BigQuery, for processing large volumes of billing data.
  • Ability to code in Go for pipeline automation.
  • Strong Terraform skills for deploying billing-related resources.
  • Understanding of committed-use discount mechanisms and cloud cost structures.
  • Extreme attention to detail, discretion with sensitive financial data, functional-analysis ability, and the ability to translate technical data into financial reports.
