Node.js Back-End Engineer

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend APIs and services using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Contribute to AWS cloud infrastructure with support from experienced colleagues.
- Work with Terraform and deployment automation to improve infrastructure and delivery workflows.
- Apply OWASP security practices and authentication concepts in backend development.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve backend issues.
- Write tests, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and senior engineering colleagues.
- Use AI tools such as Claude and Codex to support development and code reviews.
- Continue learning backend and cloud technologies and share knowledge with the team.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Experience building REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Hands-on experience with at least one relational or NoSQL database, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Familiarity with Docker and some experience with a cloud platform, ideally AWS.
- Basic understanding of authentication concepts such as OAuth and OpenID Connect.
- Awareness of OWASP security practices and software testing.
- Interest in or exposure to messaging systems such as SQS, SNS, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
- Exposure to Kubernetes and DevOps practices such as CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, collaboration, and learning skills.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude or Codex in daily development work.
