Responsibilities
- Own and stand up the Azure landing zone, including subscriptions, networking, identity, policy, cost controls, and environment topology.
- Build reproducible, reviewed, and version-controlled infrastructure using Terraform or Bicep.
- Design and operate Azure DevOps and GitHub CI/CD pipelines for backend, web, and mobile applications, including automated testing and release gates.
- Implement customer identity and access management with Entra External ID or an equivalent platform, including sign-up, sign-in, consent, MFA, and token flows.
- Establish mobile release pipelines using Expo EAS, Apple and Google developer accounts, code signing, and over-the-air update channels.
- Provide the container platform and API gateway using Azure Container Apps and Azure API Management.
- Provision managed SQL and data services, backups, secrets and key management, and secure connectivity to legacy and third-party systems.
- Establish logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting, incident response, and on-call foundations.
- Codify security standards and guardrails through policies and pipeline checks.
- Enable delivery squads with golden-path templates, documentation, and self-service capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a DevOps, Platform, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineer building Azure environments from the ground up.
- Strong hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or Bicep.
- Deep experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions for CI/CD across multiple runtimes.
- Experience operating containerized workloads with Azure Container Apps or AKS and API gateways with Azure API Management.
- Experience implementing CIAM or customer identity using Entra External ID, Azure AD B2C, Auth0, or a similar platform.
- Solid knowledge of cloud security, secrets management, networking, and cost management.
- Ability to operate as the single owner of a greenfield platform and make pragmatic build-versus-buy decisions with limited support.
- Professional written and spoken English is required.
- Spanish, Italian, or French is considered a plus.
