Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, resilient Java systems and contribute to iterative product improvements.
- Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production code and algorithms.
- Build Spring Boot RESTful microservices and contribute to application architecture and design artifacts.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets, create visualizations and reports, and use findings to improve applications and system architecture.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools, automation, and authorized AI-assisted development capabilities while validating outputs.
- Participate in software engineering communities of practice and support a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
Requirements
- Proficiency coding in Java 8, Java 11, Java 17, or later.
- Hands-on expertise with Spring Boot for building RESTful microservices, including configuration, dependency injection, and production-ready deployments.
- Practical experience with system design, application development, testing, debugging, and operational stability.
- Experience maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle, application resiliency, security, and continuous integration and delivery.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred: familiarity with modern front-end technologies, AWS, and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB.
