Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to junior QA engineers and enforce QA standards and best practices.
- Develop test plans, strategies, cases, and scenarios for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Execute manual and automated functional, regression, performance, usability, and security tests.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify, document, track, reproduce, diagnose, and help resolve software defects.
- Analyze quality metrics, produce test reports, and provide quality assessments to stakeholders.
- Evaluate QA tools, maintain QA environments, assess release risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, customers, and other stakeholders on quality goals and concerns.
- Participate in design and code reviews from a QA perspective.
- Ensure software meets regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in software testing or SDET roles.
- Advanced programming ability with Python, Java, Go, or another general-purpose programming language.
- Practical experience testing cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Strong API, security testing, and test automation skills.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and release engineering, including pipelines, artifacts, approvals, and progressive delivery.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including TLS, DNS, and load balancing.
- Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization technologies.
- Experience with high-scale SaaS environments or large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work in the Toronto, ON office on a hybrid schedule.
