Responsibilities
- Design and implement the AI integration layer, including MCP architecture and MCP Gateway.
- Develop MCP server registration, tool discovery, and lifecycle management capabilities.
- Define tool schemas and map existing platform functionality into governed MCP tools.
- Implement OAuth2/OIDC, service-to-service authentication, authorization, session management, agent identity, and permission models.
- Create risk classifications, policy limits, quotas, and human-in-the-loop approval workflows.
- Maintain audit trails for agent actions and tool calls to support compliance and traceability.
- Integrate MCP capabilities with the control plane, orchestration engine, connector runtime, observability systems, security controls, scalability requirements, and production operations.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with integration middleware platforms such as Mulesoft, Boomi, Workato, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with Mulesoft Anypoint Platform, Boomi, Workato, or comparable integration middleware tools.
- Expertise with API Manager, Monitoring, Runtime Manager, Access Management, Dedicated Load Balancer or equivalent components, and Anypoint Exchange or similar repositories.
- Advanced backend development skills in Python, TypeScript, or Java.
- Experience with distributed systems, API architecture, secure multi-tenant integration platforms, OAuth2, and OIDC.
- Preferred experience with MCP or similar AI integration frameworks, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI-compatible tool calling, OPA, AI agent governance, human-in-the-loop systems, Kubernetes, cloud-native architecture, and connector development.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is desired.
- Mulesoft Certified Developer or Architect certification and integration middleware or cloud certifications are desired.
