Base Salary
$170k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the architecture and implementation of backend systems for IoT infrastructure.
- Drive improvements to core cloud infrastructure including API design and database schema.
- Build data and API integrations with external services and partner platforms.
- Strengthen security and privacy across the platform, including user authentication.
- Design systems for high availability and geographic redundancy.
- Ensure production readiness with automated testing and performance monitoring.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical decision-making and best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building and scaling back-end systems.
- Proven ability to design, ship, and operate production systems from scratch.
- Strong experience with AWS services like Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3.
- Mastery of API design (REST/GraphQL) and data exchange protocols.
- Excellent knowledge of event-driven architecture and message queueing systems.
- Experience with authentication/authorization protocols such as OAuth2 and JWT.
- Familiarity with IoT protocols and device lifecycle management.
