AI Developer
TELUS DigitalResponsibilities
- Build agentic systems with tool and function calling, multi-step orchestration, MCP servers, browser and workflow automation, and end-to-end agent observability.
- Own AI production controls including AI gateways, model tiering and routing, semantic caching, rate limiting, latency reduction, prompt-injection defense, PII discovery and masking, and bias and toxicity screening.
- Design and implement production microservices, service decomposition, REST and GraphQL APIs, API versioning, resilience patterns, multi-tenancy, and data isolation.
- Develop and operate AWS infrastructure across compute, storage, messaging, IAM, and observability services.
- Deploy and scale containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Own production CI/CD processes using Jenkins.
- Implement infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, CDK, or an equivalent solution.
- Build event-driven systems with retries, idempotency, and dead-letter handling.
- Develop and tune queries for relational and NoSQL database systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the IT domain.
- Hands-on AI experience in real delivery through AI-assisted development or applied GenAI, including agents, RAG, MCP servers, or Bedrock.
- Strong Java experience, with Java 8, 17, or later, plus Python or Node.js and Spring Boot microservices on AWS.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Jenkins-based CI/CD.
- Experience with AWS compute, storage, messaging, IAM, and observability services.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, CDK, or an equivalent tool.
- Experience designing production microservices, REST or GraphQL APIs, resilience patterns, multi-tenancy, and data isolation.
- Experience with event-driven systems, retries, idempotency, and dead-letter handling.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
- B.Tech., M.Tech., B.C.A., or M.C.A. qualification.
- Migration and modernization experience, cloud security and compliance knowledge, and telecom domain exposure are desirable.
