Responsibilities
- Define and evolve engineering standards for core data provisioning platforms in alignment with enterprise data strategy and architecture.
- Provide technical leadership for Enterprise Data Assets, APIs, reference data services, big data movement, streaming, transformation, and decisioning infrastructure.
- Guide development teams in implementing data pipelines, APIs, metadata-driven controls, and automated testing frameworks.
- Champion DevSecOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and agentic AI coding assistants across engineering teams.
- Drive developer experience, observability, performance engineering, cost optimization, resilience, and scalability in hybrid-cloud environments.
- Mentor senior engineers, influence delivery across multiple squads and geographies, and represent the domain in architecture forums.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Cybersecurity, CDO, and business product owners to align engineering outcomes with strategic objectives.
Requirements
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in data platform engineering, architecture, or software development.
- Expertise building large-scale data pipelines, APIs, and event-driven systems using technologies such as Spring, Kafka, and Spark.
- Strong architectural understanding of data mesh, data lakehouse, and real-time customer-facing operational and analytics platforms.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Deep familiarity with development tooling and automation for modeling, observability, resilience, and governance patterns.
- Strong track record building reusable platform services that accelerate delivery for data consumers and AI/ML initiatives.
- Experience with enterprise reference data management and integration is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, influencing, mentoring, and stakeholder-engagement skills in complex global organizations.
