Base Salary
$200k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend systems supporting AI agents and observability tools.
- Prototype and evaluate prompting strategies, reasoning workflows, and tool-use policies for AI agents operating on large-scale observability data.
- Collaborate with AI researchers, product engineers, and infrastructure teams on upgrades to the core platform and product.
- Provide white-glove deployment support for Traversal’s platform and products in enterprise environments.
- Build long-term customer relationships and identify new opportunities for AI deployment throughout engagements.
- Lead strategic projects, cross-team initiatives, and product improvements based on field learnings.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience focused on backend, data, and/or cloud infrastructure systems.
- Experience with LLM-based applications and/or multi-agent systems, including model evaluation and experimental iteration.
- Experience deploying and maintaining applications on AWS, with ECS or EKS, Postgres, and S3.
- Strong familiarity with observability and monitoring tools.
- Ability to lead in fast-paced startup environments with minimal structure and shifting priorities.
- Ability to collaborate across research and engineering teams.
