Senior Software Engineer - Test Infrastructure

Responsibilities
- Understand Vault infrastructure architecture and test infrastructure changes using AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Set up, maintain, test, and improve infrastructure test environments
- Develop and contribute to automation strategies for infrastructure features including zero-downtime upgrades, high availability, and disaster recovery
- Use programming skills to automate and optimize cloud-based infrastructure testing
- Build, maintain, and improve automation frameworks, test harnesses, and testing processes
- Architect, develop, and maintain automated tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
- Execute tests, verify bugs, and triage automation results within release milestones
- Participate in design and implementation reviews to ensure product quality
- Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and QA engineers
- Mentor team members through guidance and feedback
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of software development or test automation experience focused on infrastructure testing
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python, or Bash/Shell scripting
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure technologies including AWS EC2, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, and EKS
- Experience designing and implementing infrastructure automation strategies
- Advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and hands-on experience with Jenkins
- Proficiency with GitLab and GitHub for version control
- Familiarity with Maven, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, and BDD
- Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or CloudFormation is preferred
- Knowledge of ELK Stack, CloudWatch, and Prometheus is preferred
- Healthcare and life sciences domain experience is preferred
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills
