Responsibilities
- Define the long-term architecture for the Associate Context & Insights platform.
- Guide the team in building scalable machine learning models.
- Establish engineering excellence standards.
- Deliver the minimum viable product incrementally.
- Own the system end to end across design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Influence senior leadership on investments that improve associate capability, customer outcomes, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with Engineering, Applied Science, and Business Intelligence to continuously improve the product.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Programming experience in at least one software programming language.
- Experience building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers.
- Experience with a modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
- Experience with machine learning and large language model fundamentals, including architecture, training and inference lifecycles, and model execution optimization.
- Knowledge of transformer architecture, machine learning and LLM fundamentals, training and inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience developing and deploying LLMs in production on GPUs, Neuron, TPU, or other AI acceleration hardware.
