Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a distributed team to meet quarterly objectives.
- Develop code independently and through pair programming.
- Write and maintain design, user, and test documentation.
- Perform triage functionality by verifying and fixing bugs.
- Build both customer and non-customer facing code.
- Support software testing and quality assurance processes.
- Create SQL for Tech Updates and prepare for review.
- Mentor and guide less senior staff.
- Perform code reviews and approve pull requests.
- Maintain build and stage stability.
- Research and prototype new technologies.
- Influence and evolve system-wide architecture.
Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Java 8+, SQL, Unix shell commands, and version control.
- Experience with Spring MVC, HTTP/Rest protocols, and CI tools.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with Agile methodologies like Kanban and Scrum.
- TDD experience and familiarity with large-scale processing.
- Exposure to Google Cloud technology is highly desired.
- Good understanding of JVM and Garbage Collection.
- Experience mentoring and training teams.
