Responsibilities
- Participate in all stages of the software design lifecycle across cloud, embedded, web/mobile, data, and product teams.
- Interface regularly with customers and solve technical problems across software layers.
- Write clean, maintainable code and perform peer code reviews.
- Solve scale, integration, and architectural problems.
- Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot applications in a Kubernetes ecosystem.
- Represent Plume at customer sites and interface with customer engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of industry experience writing production code across multiple product areas.
- High proficiency in idiomatic C/C++ development.
- Thorough understanding of L2/L3 and L4 networking layers and 802.11.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, and embedded systems.
- Fundamental understanding of computer networking, operating systems, and databases.
- Experience with WiFi access points, OpenWRT, RDK, or OpenSync is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills.
