Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Support production and non-production J2EE environments and coordinate break fixes.
- Architect and design application infrastructure with development teams.
- Develop and streamline deployment processes and pipelines and write automation scripts.
- Support QA testing by monitoring servers and providing feedback.
- Plan, document, coordinate, and execute operational readiness testing.
- Ensure deployment information and technical requirements are complete and aligned with server software stacks.
- Communicate project status to senior staff, executive management, and stakeholders.
- Prepare senior-level technical reports and manage assigned IT projects.
Requirements
- Expertise developing deployment templates with Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
- Experience with Python, Perl, or Unix Shell Scripting for configuration management, build, and deployment activities.
- Experience administering AWS infrastructure, Atlassian products, Windows servers, Linux servers, IBM FileNet, and J2EE application stacks.
- Experience configuring SSO using SAML across applications and platforms.
- Familiarity with SQL queries such as T-SQL.
- Knowledge of Jenkins and portal application deployment.
- Understanding of Subversion, Git, or Bitbucket version control tools.
- Understanding of VMware virtualization and distributed high-availability architecture.
- Knowledge of network troubleshooting with network analyzers or sniffers.
- Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, analytical, organizational, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and investigate and resolve issues with stakeholders and vendors.
- Applicants must meet one of the stated education and experience pathways: a baccalaureate degree; an associate degree plus two years of qualifying experience; a high school diploma or equivalent plus four years of qualifying experience; or an equivalent combination.
