Foundations Engineer (Agents, SF In Office)

Responsibilities
- Design and independently implement scalable systems and multi-step agent workflows end to end.
- Train, evaluate, and integrate models into user-facing AI-powered product features.
- Apply LLM research in production and drive experimentation and evaluation loops.
- Work closely with customers, join customer calls, understand requests, and ship solutions with product and AI engineers.
- Use and understand data storage systems including Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB, Snowflake, and S3.
- Use and understand queuing and streaming systems including SQS, Kafka, and Spark.
- Maintain strong operational reliability with minimal downtime or customer impact.
- Deliver frequent releases in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of work experience.
- Experience with Python, Flask, and AWS.
- Understanding of LLM models and/or deep understanding of services across multiple clouds is preferred.
- Experience building and scaling platform systems is a plus.
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to San Francisco.
