Base Salary
$200k - $322k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design agent blueprints with authorization, sandbox, memory, observability, and skills interfaces.
- Build runtime safety and policy controls including rate and budget caps, circuit breakers, approval gates, action allow-lists, and kill switches.
- Develop declarative skills, multi-agent orchestration, delegation and handoff, and support for headless long-running agents.
- Broker credentials for multi-agent authentication and authorization with least-privilege token scoping.
- Build checkpoint and recovery capabilities for agents after crashes or restarts.
- Instrument cross-harness observability and evaluation with decision-level traces, correlation IDs, cost anomaly alerts, and quality scoring.
- Participate in the shared on-call rotation for the production platform.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years building distributed systems, infrastructure, or developer platforms at scale.
- Hands-on experience building agents on a harness, exposing them as APIs, and shipping them with CI/CD.
- Experience deploying and operating long-running services on container orchestration platforms.
- Experience with messaging, caching, and durable storage as building blocks of scalable systems.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, or a similar language.
- Preferred experience building runtime safety or policy engines with approval gates and kill switches.
- Preferred experience designing agent evaluation and feedback loops, including self-improving loops based on evaluation and production signals.
- Preferred knowledge of threat modeling, authentication and authorization, least privilege, secrets management, and token exchange.
- Preferred experience designing AI data platform components such as ingestion pipelines, vector stores, and retrieval APIs.
- Preferred experience shipping platform building blocks adopted by multiple engineering teams and leading migrations or greenfield platform projects.
