Responsibilities
- Integrate algorithms for sequence-data analysis.
- Build user-friendly tools for managing biological data and integrating with cloud services.
- Develop and maintain Geneious Prime and other Java-based software solutions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and customers to establish requirements and iterate on designs.
- Contribute to a cross-functional development team, including testing, documentation, and support as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science and/or at least two years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of Java frameworks and libraries.
- Experience with front-end UI or full-stack development, with willingness to work across front-end and backend systems.
- Experience working on complex codebases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and CodePipeline is an additional qualification.
- Familiarity with automated testing principles and Agile software development practices is an additional qualification.
- Biology knowledge is not required.
