Base Salary

$99k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Identify effective machine learning applications for cyber defense and threat hunting.
  • Explore datasets and train models that support cyber investigations and near-real-time threat detection.
  • Package and deploy production-level machine learning models.
  • Develop solutions for detecting advanced persistent threats and reducing false-positive alerts.
  • Use endpoint, network, and security-log data to analyze compromises and support cyber investigations.
  • Apply software development best practices and continuous integration and delivery to reduce manual testing and troubleshooting.
  • Incorporate open-source tools, cloud resources, threat intelligence platforms, and data-streaming technologies into cyber defense solutions.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience with cyber threat hunting and compromise analysis using endpoint and network security data.
  • At least 2 years of experience exploring datasets, training machine learning models for inference, and using model output in cyber investigations.
  • Experience with MITRE ATT&CK, MISP threat sharing, or cyber intelligence platforms such as seQure.
  • Experience packaging and deploying production-level models with Python, Bash, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL, or data-streaming technologies such as Kafka.
  • Experience with SIEM technologies such as Splunk or Elasticsearch.
  • Top Secret clearance is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Experience with LLMs, NLP, and data science workflows is preferred.
  • Experience with data brokers such as Kafka, Confluent, Benthos, Redpanda, or RabbitMQ is preferred.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, GovCloud, or distributed systems is preferred.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is preferred; a master’s degree is preferred and a doctorate is a plus.
