Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical contact for customers from requirements gathering through solution deployment.
- Translate customer needs into technical solutions, project scopes, estimates, and implementation plans.
- Design, customize, integrate, and deploy solutions on EXFO's SaaS platform.
- Develop and maintain backend services and tools using Python, TypeScript/Node.js, and Go.
- Contribute to frontend and user-interface development using Angular and Flutter.
- Design and integrate APIs connecting the SaaS platform with customer and third-party systems.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automate environment provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability, and improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Participate in incident resolution and maintain runbooks, operational procedures, and technical documentation.
- Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations, troubleshoot customer issues, and communicate project progress.
- Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, Customer Success, and Technical Support teams.
- Promote software quality through automated testing, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience.
- 3–5+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, or a combination of both.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Go, with working knowledge of the others.
- Experience developing user interfaces with Angular and/or Flutter.
- Solid knowledge of Linux, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with customers in a technical capacity.
- Strong communication, presentation, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of technical challenges.
- Proficiency in written and spoken French and English.
- Willingness to travel occasionally based on project requirements.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is an asset.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic/ELK, or OpenSearch is an asset.
- Knowledge of SRE practices, telecommunications and networking technologies, SaaS operations, professional services, or technical consulting is an asset.
- Relevant Kubernetes or cloud certifications, including CKA, are assets.
