Responsibilities
- Design solution architectures for API-related initiatives across NN Digital Hub and partner teams.
- Translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable solution designs.
- Guide delivery teams in selecting APIs, integration patterns, and architecture building blocks.
- Ensure solutions meet architectural standards and expectations for quality, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Identify gaps in existing APIs and architecture capabilities and help define improvements.
- Create and maintain solution designs, interface definitions, architecture diagrams, technical decision records, and other architecture documentation.
- Support implementation by resolving architectural questions, blockers, and technical risks.
- Align dependencies and solution designs with stakeholders across teams and business domains.
- Help bring solutions to production readiness and contribute to reusable architecture approaches across business units.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field.
- Solid experience in solution architecture with strong exposure to APIs and system integration.
- Experience with domain-driven design, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, or modern integration approaches.
- Knowledge of API gateways, OAuth2, OIDC, mTLS, certificate-based trust, or identity and access management.
- Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, token-based access, trust models, and secure system communication.
- Experience working in complex distributed environments with multiple teams, systems, and dependencies.
- Ability to connect business requirements with robust, practical solution designs and assess whether solutions are fit for purpose.
- Experience creating and maintaining architecture artifacts such as solution designs, interface definitions, architecture diagrams, and technical decision records.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work across teams and stakeholders, challenge unclear requirements, and create alignment.
- Practical, delivery-oriented mindset with willingness to stay close to implementation.
- Preferred experience with architecture governance, reusable building blocks, platform-based delivery models, insurance, financial services, or another regulated environment.
