Responsibilities
- Deliver standardized Linux systems across more than 400 servers and 22 global colocation sites.
- Handle day-to-day infrastructure requests, services, processes, escalations, monitoring, and support to maintain a reliable environment.
- Automate routine tasks, promote Infrastructure as Code, and continuously optimize Linux infrastructure workflows and processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and launch new global colocation sites.
- Provide security, documentation, capacity management, performance optimization, and ongoing service enhancements for low-latency infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Linux, preferably RHEL, CentOS, or Rocky, in complex or niche environments focused on operations, systems engineering, and systems performance.
- Experience managing and supporting HP, SuperMicro, Dell, and overclocked servers.
- Experience configuring and optimizing low-latency network interfaces and kernel bypass using Solarflare with Onload and Mellanox with VMA.
- Experience with system hardware and operating system tuning, performance troubleshooting, and CPU architectures.
- Experience with Chef or Ansible for build and configuration management.
- Experience with Grafana and Prometheus for observability.
- Scripting and automation experience in Python, Ruby, and Bash.
- In-depth knowledge of server network stack configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting, including TCP, UDP unicast and multicast, NTP, PTP, Wireshark, and tshark.
- Strong verbal and written communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, initiative, and ownership.
- Good understanding of trading venues such as Nasdaq, LSE, and Euronext.
- Degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or related experience.
