Responsibilities
- Develop and implement applications based on process requirements, system specifications, and technical designs.
- Write programs, integrate technical components, and participate in technical design and review.
- Create and perform quality and system testing while ensuring code quality and system analysis.
- Investigate software problems, develop specifications and resolutions, and recommend improvements and enhancements.
- Communicate with IT team members and relevant stakeholders, potentially serving as a point of contact.
- Review code and create and maintain solution-delivery documentation.
- Ensure delivered solutions meet business standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Senior Application Developer within the insurance industry.
- More than five years of application development experience.
- Strong technical skills in Express.js, Angular, Node.js, and React.
- Experience across a range of technology and non-technology projects.
- Ability to interpret process models, requirements, and business scenarios to develop solutions.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Good understanding of agentic AI concepts, including designing or using autonomous AI agents to automate business workflows and data analysis.
- Japanese-language proficiency is required.
- Experience in fast-paced environments with rapidly emerging requirements and on international projects, particularly those related to Japan, is preferred.
