Base Salary
$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Embed with strategic customers on typically 1–3 month engagements and manage scope, milestones, and exit criteria.
- Design, prototype, ship, debug, and harden workflows using Perplexity Computer and adjacent tooling.
- Own customer relationships, executive communication, working sessions, expectations, risks, and deployment outcomes.
- Convert customer deployments into reusable skills, connectors, workflow templates, or reference implementations.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success on scoping, technical validation, and expansion opportunities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in customer-embedded technical roles such as forward-deployed engineering, senior solutions engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting.
- Proven experience running customer engagements as projects, including scoping, milestones, status reporting, executive communication, risk management, and exit criteria.
- Daily use of frontier LLMs, agents, and coding assistants with strong judgment about model capabilities and reliability.
- Ability to communicate credibly with executive stakeholders while managing programs and implementation work directly.
- High agency in ambiguous environments without fully specified requirements.
- Preferred experience in FDE, applied AI, or deployment strategy at a frontier AI company.
- Preferred sales engineering leadership involving technical ownership of $1M+ enterprise deals.
- Preferred experience deploying agents, RAG systems, or multi-step LLM workflows in regulated or complex enterprise environments.
- Preferred experience working at startups or small teams and owning customer projects end-to-end.
