Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java applications.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable code using coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
- Develop and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Write unit and integration tests and troubleshoot application issues in development and production.
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Stay current with Java technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience with Java development, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Core Java, object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling, multithreading, and Java design principles.
- Experience with MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL, including SQL development and database fundamentals.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle, Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket, and basic CI/CD knowledge.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, or TestNG and unit and integration testing practices.
- Basic knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Claude.
- Basic understanding of generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted software development workflows.
- Familiarity with integrating AI/LLM services through REST APIs, including OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or Google Gemini, is preferred.
- Understanding of web technologies and API communication, including JSON and HTTP.
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and adaptability skills, with experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
