Responsibilities
- Engineer stable, scalable, performant, accessible, testable, and secure software solutions.
- Lead technical development at the product, team, or domain level and take ownership of delivery and application health.
- Write clean, efficient, and documented code while participating in code reviews, planning, and team ceremonies.
- Apply automation, performance testing, regression testing, debugging, and quality assurance approaches.
- Own technical custodianship, governance activities, application health, and incident root-cause analysis.
- Identify opportunities for reuse and automation to reduce manual effort and technical debt.
- Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge as a subject-matter expert, and contribute to technical communities.
- Communicate with stakeholders, support continuous improvement, and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Provide hardware, software, and network support as needed.
- Apply basic AI concepts using established tools and procedures to familiar scenarios.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, efficient, well-documented code independently.
- Deep understanding of system design and subject-matter expertise in key technologies and domains.
- Ability to lead technical development and take responsibility for technical delivery, application ownership, and governance.
- Experience applying DevOps principles, quality assurance approaches, test automation, performance checks, regression testing, and debugging.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to apply traditional and agile best practices, prioritise work, escalate impediments, and act on feedback.
