Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripe’s engineering teams.
- Own and solve problems end to end across a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams across Stripe’s global offices.
- Uphold engineering standards and improve consistency across codebases and processes.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
- Work with business, sales, operations, product, regional, and strategic customer teams to understand and solve user problems.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field involving coding, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics, or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience working on projects involving multiple engineering teams.
- Strong communication, collaboration, empathy, and code-quality standards.
- Ability to drive clear next steps in ambiguous situations without clear ownership.
- Preferred: experience with financial product companies and interest in financial products and markets.
- Preferred: user-facing or cross-functional experience shaping product roadmaps and solving user needs.
