Base Salary
$82k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Invest in documentation, metrics, monitors, and other troubleshooting tools.
- Participate in business-hours on-call rotations and occasional weekend coverage.
- Diagnose, resolve, and prevent field issues while delivering end-to-end improvements to core products.
- Improve observability by refactoring codepaths and introducing telemetry.
- Identify and implement data-driven opportunities to improve service resilience.
- Develop strategic opinions on stability investments and inform the long-term product stability vision.
Requirements
- An engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or a similar field is required.
- Experience producing code in backend languages such as Java through a past role or personal projects is required.
- Familiarity with storage and data processing systems and cloud infrastructure is required.
- Candidates must be eligible and willing to obtain a US Security clearance.
- Experience with Java, Go, and/or web technologies is valued.
- Experience with large-scale production systems, monitoring, distributed systems, configuration management, Prometheus, health checks, stack traces, bug fixing, and service stability is valued.
- Strong written and verbal communication, ownership, urgency, independent troubleshooting, strategic thinking, and ability to incorporate feedback are required.
