Responsibilities
- Build, enhance, and support secure, stable, scalable software solutions across development and test environments.
- Own environment health, routine health checks, readiness validation, status communications, and environment hygiene processes.
- Lead incident triage, investigation, resolution, stakeholder coordination, root-cause analysis, and preventive follow-up actions.
- Drive proactive monitoring and automation, including automated health checks, log-based monitoring, dashboards, alerting, and signal validation.
- Support and maintain triage user interfaces, tooling, monitoring queries, issue investigation workflows, and ticket handling.
- Implement and maintain observability and perform post-change and post-restage validation.
- Lead adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools and establish standards for validating AI-generated outputs.
- Apply secure coding, peer review, automated testing, responsible AI, and data-sensitivity practices within engineering workflows.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, release, support, and operational stability across the SDLC.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including secure coding and complex debugging.
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods, with an engineering focus on reducing toil and improving reliability.
- Strong incident and problem-management skills, including triage, root-cause analysis, and preventive controls.
- Working familiarity with Kibana, Splunk, and Dynatrace for observability and troubleshooting.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, application resiliency, security, and modern engineering practices.
- Experience in a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, or data.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development practices and validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, secure handling of inputs and outputs, data sensitivity, and compliant engineering adoption.
- Preferred experience supporting QA, UAT, and performance environments; SRE or operations-oriented engineering; monitoring, dashboards, and alerting; microservices, containerization, event-driven systems; automation scripting; consumer banking; and distributed, matrixed teams.
