Base Salary
$150k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain tooling for engineers’ local development environments.
- Improve build and test speed and reliability and troubleshoot build and CI failures.
- Improve Kubernetes tooling so product teams can independently make routine application changes.
- Develop catalog entries, templates, and plugins for the Backstage developer portal.
- Support releases through Kargo and improve release automation.
- Participate in a support rotation, document solutions, and convert recurring problems into tooling improvements.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of software engineering experience, including internships or significant projects.
- Programming experience in TypeScript or JavaScript plus Go or Python.
- Comfort with shell scripting and the command line.
- Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD concepts.
- Interest in developer tooling, infrastructure, and improving engineers’ effectiveness.
- Clear communication, strong collaboration skills, and alignment with Ironclad’s values.
