Base Salary
$155k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate Streaming Platform components including Kafka, the streaming runtime, high-level APIs, and developer-facing abstractions.
- Implement resilient, high-throughput stream processing systems with strong delivery, checkpointing, watermarking, and correctness guarantees.
- Build scalable automation and control-plane systems for Kafka fleet management.
- Partner with product engineers to improve ingestion pipelines and developer experience.
- Improve observability, monitoring, failover, stability, and operational efficiency for real-time systems.
Requirements
- At least 2–3 years of software engineering experience in distributed systems, data infrastructure, or real-time streaming.
- Proficiency in Python, Rust, Go, Java, or similar programming languages.
- Experience building and operating systems in cloud environments such as Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, or similar streaming technologies is preferred.
