Base Salary
$150k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and lead the Hydrogen + Shopify Storefront API + Contentful architecture.
- Set patterns for multi-locale routing, data fetching, caching, and edge runtime.
- Define and enforce performance budgets for web applications.
- Own phase-by-phase migration of the e-commerce platform.
- Drive technical decisions on app migrations and ensure pixel parity.
- Coordinate redirect mapping and SEO-safe URL migration.
- Partner with various teams to translate business requirements into engineering work.
- Recruit and mentor junior engineers while establishing quality standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack web engineering experience with React-based stacks.
- Production experience with headless commerce on Shopify Storefront API.
- Strong Ruby skills, comfortable with Shopify backend tooling.
- Experience with HTML Canvas / WebGL or graphics-heavy frontend.
- Proven track record on Core Web Vitals optimization.
- Hands-on experience with at least one edge runtime.
- Experience owning a major frontend migration end-to-end.
- Demonstrated technical leadership of at least 2 engineers.
