Responsibilities
- Design and extend ANTLR4 grammars, lexers, parsers, AST/IR models, and compiler or transpiler components.
- Develop and maintain Java translation pipelines, including AST-to-IR mappers, IR-to-Java lowering passes, code generators, and REST APIs.
- Generate Spring services, repositories, DTOs, and other modern Java application components from legacy Natural source code.
- Write unit and integration tests, validate generated-code compilation and behavior, and verify translation correctness against representative fixtures.
- Trace and fix transpilation defects involving malformed output, type mappings, and naming mappings.
- Support Maven build health, CI pipeline stability, source-control integration, operational readiness, and downstream troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Professional experience developing Java applications in Spring Boot codebases.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, algorithms, and data structures.
- Experience with REST APIs, service integration, Git, collaborative development, and automated testing such as JUnit.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, particularly across multi-stage data pipelines.
- Understanding of secure software development practices and the ability to work with architects and stakeholders.
- Ability to read and reason about unfamiliar or legacy source languages.
- Preferred experience with ANTLR4, parser generators, lexers, parsers, grammars, abstract syntax trees, transpilers, compilers, static analysis tools, intermediate representations, or multi-pass transformation pipelines.
- Familiarity with Natural/Adabas, COBOL, CI/CD automation, cloud-native or containerized environments, and ITIL-based operations is preferred.
