Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of scalable web and API automation frameworks.
- Develop and review automation scripts using Selenium with Java.
- Lead API automation initiatives using Karate and ReadyAPI/SoapUI.
- Define and execute automation strategy to improve quality and test coverage across projects.
- Review automation code and enforce coding standards, best practices, and framework guidelines.
- Mentor junior automation engineers through technical reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, and client stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Lead automation planning, estimation, execution, and delivery for multiple releases.
- Integrate automation with GitHub Actions and Jenkins to support continuous integration.
- Analyze execution results, lead defect triage, and perform root cause analysis.
- Report automation status, quality metrics, and risks to stakeholders.
- Drive improvements to automation frameworks, processes, and engineering practices.
- Support browser compatibility testing using SauceLabs and Perfecto.
- Participate in sprint planning, release planning, technical discussions, and quality reviews.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of Quality Engineering experience, including 6–9 years as an SQA Automation Engineer working on UI and API automation.
- At least 5 years of automated testing experience using tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Karate, SoapUI/ReadyAPI, QTest, DevTest, Bobcat, Mocha, SauceLabs, Perfecto, Azure Data Studio, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Jira.
- At least 1 year of experience debugging code and analytics tags in web or mobile applications using Chrome Developer Tools, Charles, and other debugging tools.
- At least 5 years of experience working on projects involving solution development lifecycles such as SDLC.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, CIS, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and lead testing automation initiatives.
- Technical leadership, mentoring, stakeholder and client management, communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, ownership, decision-making, collaboration, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Preferred experience with SauceLabs, Perfecto, Chrome DevTools, AI/LLM testing, Python/PyTest, and IoT devices and networking.
