Responsibilities
- Serve as lead designer for major and highly complex systems and subsystems.
- Lead Guidewire configuration and integration with CNA applications, vendor applications, and consulting resources.
- Configure Guidewire PolicyCenter using Gosu, PCF, Data Model, Rules, and APD.
- Design and implement Guidewire integrations using Cloud APIs, REST APIs, Integration Gateway, App Events, Kafka, and microservices architectures.
- Develop or modify application programs and integrate purchased solutions.
- Provide advanced technical consultation on application development, performance engineering, testing, production implementation, recovery, maintenance, stability, defect resolution, and SLA compliance.
- Support application implementation in production and testing environments.
- Mentor developers and provide technical guidance throughout development and implementation.
- Research alternative solutions, recommend application programming approaches, and contribute to technology and application portfolio strategy.
- Collaborate with business, IT, architecture, delivery teams, clients, vendors, and distributed internal and external teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 7 years of systems analysis and application program development experience.
- At least 4 years of Guidewire implementation experience.
- Required experience with Guidewire Cloud platform implementations.
- Strong experience configuring Guidewire PolicyCenter with Gosu, PCF, Data Model, Rules, and APD.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing Guidewire integrations using Cloud APIs, REST APIs, Integration Gateway, App Events, Kafka, and microservices architectures.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, API-driven development, event-driven architectures, and Guidewire Cloud integration patterns.
- Understanding of insurance functions and processes, preferably in commercial or specialty lines.
- Experience working with distributed teams, including internal and external vendors.
- Knowledge of high-level programming languages, databases, interfaces, application development alternatives, and production support.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with Agile software development life cycle practices.
- Guidewire PolicyCenter Ace or Guidewire Cloud Integration Ace certification is a plus.
- Experience with Guidewire Dev/Ops, testing frameworks, Scaled Agile Framework, product-based software delivery, Google Cloud technologies, Copilot, Claude Code, or other AI coding assistants is advantageous.
