Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise AI/ML, generative AI, and AI infrastructure architecture and transformation programs.
- Define target-state architectures, adoption roadmaps, operating models, and reference architectures for enterprise AI platforms.
- Design GPU-enabled Kubernetes, virtualized and bare-metal AI infrastructure, model-serving, RAG, MLOps/LLMOps, data, storage, networking, security, and governance solutions.
- Architect AI application patterns involving LLMs, embedding models, vector databases, AI agents, enterprise copilots, and production RAG platforms.
- Design automation and platform engineering using Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes operators, APIs, CI/CD, and GitOps practices.
- Lead customer discovery, architecture workshops, executive advisory engagements, escalations, and technical enablement.
- Mentor Staff Consulting Architects and Consultants and review their AI architectures.
- Create reusable design patterns, implementation guides, automation frameworks, solution templates, and technical content.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Support, and other technical teams to influence product direction and Nutanix AI solution adoption.
- Define observability, SLOs, performance optimization, capacity planning, and AI infrastructure cost-optimization strategies.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience across infrastructure, cloud, virtualization, Kubernetes, AI/ML platforms, or related technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or an equivalent discipline.
- Proven experience architecting and delivering enterprise AI/ML platforms and AI infrastructure.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Nutanix AHV or equivalent virtualization, GPU-enabled infrastructure, Linux, and container technologies.
- Experience with Nutanix AI Platform or equivalent enterprise AI platforms and deep understanding of GPU architecture, scheduling, CUDA, GPU operators, resource management, and performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML frameworks and platforms such as NVIDIA NeMo, NVIDIA NIM, Triton, KServe, Kubeflow, and MLflow.
- Proven experience designing generative AI, LLM, RAG, model-serving, fine-tuning, inference, embedding-model, and vector-database architectures.
- Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, GitOps, and platform automation.
- Strong understanding of enterprise storage, networking, security, data architecture, hybrid and multi-cloud environments, and AI workload troubleshooting.
- Experience with technologies such as NVIDIA AI Enterprise, NVIDIA DGX or HGX, NVIDIA networking, InfiniBand, RoCE, GPU partitioning, Ray, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Flowise, Milvus, Qdrant, Weaviate, or pgvector is advantageous.
- Experience with public-cloud AI services, AWS or Azure GPU platforms, AI governance, responsible AI, FinOps, multimodal AI, AI agents, and model optimization is advantageous.
- Excellent customer-facing, consulting, presentation, executive communication, architecture leadership, mentoring, and troubleshooting skills.
- Preferred certifications include NCP, NAI or relevant Nutanix AI certification, NCX, CKA, CKAD, NVIDIA certifications, Terraform Associate, and relevant AWS, Azure, AI/ML, or cloud architecture certifications.
