Base Salary
$115k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and architecture of scalable, elastic distributed systems for high-throughput hyperscale workloads.
- Define scalability requirements, optimize performance, and use distributed state management and data-plane platforms.
- Design highly available systems with redundancy, replication, failover, load shedding, throttling, and rate limiting.
- Establish SLOs, KPIs, telemetry, dashboards, alerts, and reliability and performance testing practices.
- Diagnose production issues, support incident response and root cause analysis, and ensure operational readiness.
- Develop infrastructure automation for safe patching, updates, maintenance, and rollbacks.
- Implement encryption, access controls, security remediation, and compliance documentation for multi-tenant environments.
- Manage moderately complex initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers and contribute to candidate interviews, assessments, and hiring recommendations.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead development and architecture of scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems for hyperscale workloads.
- Experience with performance optimization, distributed state management, replication, synchronization, observability, and resilience mechanisms.
- Ability to support production troubleshooting, incident response, operational readiness, and in-service maintenance.
- Experience implementing security, compliance, infrastructure as code, automation, patching, and rollback practices.
- Ability to manage technical initiatives, provide technical oversight, collaborate across teams, and mentor engineers.
