Base Salary
$95k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Test AI models and software using varied methodologies and use cases.
- Generate ground-truth data, develop reference materials and annotated datasets, and build testing frameworks.
- Evaluate technologies and product designs against engineering principles, company standards, customer needs, and specifications.
- Support component and module development through design engineering, validation, prototyping, testing, production-feasibility assessment, and business-case evaluation.
- Design and execute research programs involving mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, electronics, heat transfer, and materials science.
- Compare experimental results with simulation data and provide technical evaluations to R&D engineers and researchers.
- Track innovation project progress, coordinate efforts, estimate time requirements, sequence tasks, and resolve issues.
- Define and manage outsourced software development, prototyping, validation, and testing work.
- Collaborate with internal customers, universities, external partners, and project teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering, including fields such as Computer Science, Electrical, Aerospace, or Robotics.
- At least 3 years of recent, in-depth, hands-on experience in a relevant automotive-industry field.
- Comprehensive understanding of automotive technology and basic engineering principles and physics.
- Experience handling training and validation data, segmentation, and annotation processes.
- Proficiency in Python and machine learning or AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch.
- Experience with GitHub continuous integration and testing, prompting techniques, frontend web development, cloud deployment, and agentic AI frameworks.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10% of the time.
- Automotive OEM or Tier-1 experience is preferred.
