Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of new features for the mobile-first public safety platform using Swift and modern iOS frameworks.
- Partner with Android engineers to identify shared business logic opportunities with Kotlin Multiplatform while preserving a native iOS experience.
- Define the iOS platform technical roadmap and balance long-term architecture with customer delivery.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to develop high-quality, performant solutions.
- Review pull requests, mentor engineers, and establish engineering best practices for architecture, testing, and maintainability.
- Improve automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes for reliable App Store deployments.
- Investigate production issues, reduce technical debt, and drive architectural improvements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant native iOS development with Swift.
- Experience as a technical lead or senior engineer driving architecture, mentoring teammates, and leading complex technical initiatives.
- Deep expertise in Swift, Swift Concurrency, UIKit and/or SwiftUI, and modern iOS development practices.
- Strong Kotlin experience and understanding of cross-platform mobile architectures.
- Experience shipping multiple production mobile applications from concept through App Store release.
- Experience designing scalable application architecture and writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
- Strong understanding of mobile testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and App Store release processes.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with cloud-based backend services.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and/or Compose Multiplatform is preferred.
- Experience defining or implementing shared mobile platform strategies across iOS and Android is preferred.
- Familiarity with modern Android development practices is preferred.
- Experience building software for highly regulated or mission-critical environments is preferred.
